Hotel Ianthe is situated at the north west side of the traditional hamlet Vessa which is easy accessible by car. The hotel consists of two different in style buildings, the Neoclassic which dates in 1880 and the kamarospito (arched house) which dates in 1750. Both buildings were renovated according their unique architecture style and are in distance of 60m from each other. The Neoclassic building has reception area, sitting room, dinning room, breakfast area and 4 studios of one or two rooms. The building is surrounded by a big garden and yard. The Kamarospito has two big rooms and breakfast area-kitchen. In between the rooms on the 1st floor is an internal veranda, that is ideal for relaxing. The guests have access to the terrace that offers magnificent view towards the village. All rooms have private bathroom, aircondition, tv, mini bar and internet.

Vessa is a medieval village in the center of Chios, Close to Vessa (10 km) are the medieval site of Anavatos and further out the Byzantine monastery of the 12th century, Nea Moni, with its magnificent frescoes and mosaics.
In a small distance from Vessa (5 – 10 km) are few small and picturesque bays and beaches such as Tigani, Agia Irini, and Didima at the west, while on the south are the beaches Komi, Emborios, and Mavra Volia.
